The Cricket World Cup is held every four years. The first Cricket World Cup was held in 1975 in England, and it w as a 60-over One Day International (ODI) tournament. The second edition followed in 1979, again in England. Starting from 1983, the Cricket World Cup began to be held on a more regular four-year cycle.
