Who became the first Arab woman to get the Nobel Peace Prize concerning the Arab Spring?

Tawakkol Karman, a Yemeni activist, became the first Arab woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize for her role in organizing peaceful protests during the Arab Spring in Yemen. Together with Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and Leymah Gbowee, she shared the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize “for their non-violent struggle for women’s safety and for women’s rights to full participation in peace-building work.”
