Which ocean is famous for its monsoon climate?

The Indian Ocean is known for its strong influence on monsoon. A monsoon is a seasonal wind pattern characterized by the reversal of wind direction and the accompanying changes in precipitation.  During the summer months (June to September), warm, moist air masses from the Indian Ocean move inland over the Indian subcontinent. These air masses bring heavy rainfall to India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Southeast Asia.
