It is roughly bounded by Miami (Florida), Bermuda, and Puerto Rico, forming a triangular area in the western part of the North Atlantic. The region gained notoriety due to various reports and legends about mysterious disappearances of ships and aircraft, while many of these claims have been attributed to natural causes.
