What is the primary composition of Earth’s core?

The Earth’s core is primarily composed of iron (Fe), with a large quantity of nickel (Ni).

This iron-nickel alloy is thought to make up the majority of the outer core, which is currently liquid. The solid inner core is mostly made up of iron and nickel, though it may also contain certain lighter metals.

The Earth’s core is also referred to as the “nife layer”.
