Who introduced the concept of pH?

Soren Peder Lauritz Sorensen, a Danish chemist, first proposed the notion of pH. The “p” stands for “potenz” (power), whereas the “H” represents the concentration of hydrogen ions. Sorensen’s work established pH as a logarithmic scale for measuring hydrogen ion concentrations in solutions.
