What is entomophily?

Entomophily specifically refers to pollination carried out by insects, where they distribute pollen from flowering plants. In entomophily, the insects often get coated with pollen while feeding on nectar or gathering pollen, and as they move to other flowers, they deposit some of this pollen onto the stigma, leading to cross-pollination.
