Where are comets likely to be found in our solar system?

There are likely billions of comets orbiting our Sun in the Kuiper Belt (beyond Neptune) and even more distant Oort Cloud, which is a vast spherical region surrounding the solar system.

As they approach the Sun, comets from the Oort Cloud and Kuiper Belt can be seen and they can be detected when they enter the inner solar system.
